Beef stew with potatoes

  • 500 g beef
  • 1 piece raw onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 375 ml red wine
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 750 ml beef stock
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 sprigs thyme
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika powder
  • as needed sweet paprika powder
  • as needed pepper
  • 700 g potatoes

Instructions

    Cut the onion into small cubes and finely chop the garlic.

    Sear the meat in hot fat and season with salt.

    Add onions, garlic, and tomato paste, and briefly sauté.

    Deglaze with red wine, let it reduce, and repeat the process until almost all the liquid is reduced.
